Redo Kitchen sequence Behind the scenes
This is the redo of the behind the scenes of the kitchen sequence due to reshooting the whole thing. We added a little interview in the beginning this time to explain things in more detail.
Schedule re-do Kitchen
We planed to re-do our kitchen sequence today. I think it went better than the first time because we knew what we were doing this round. We certainly were more concentrated and eager to do this as we did not want to fall behind. We also added lots of different camera angles and added more shots in that we did not do before. I thought this was really good because we were able to improve our kitchen sequence to make it better.

25/01/13
In todays lesson we continued editing. Unfortunalatley we lost our work from the previous lessons. We caught up today and yesterday and found it difficult to cut where she is holding the phone and also the photoframe. We are also having trouble with the cushions in our shot and have been preparing to reshoot some parts next week.

23/01/13
In this lesson we had a few problems. We were editing the rest of the kitchen sequence where we realised that we are missing a lot of shots. We were only planning to re-do the shots that we missed, but when we looked through the whole thing again, we couldn't just re-do the shots that we missed because the props in the mise un scene will change so we had to do it from scratch.

Behind the scenes
This is our Behind the scenes for our kitchen sequence. We had to wait a while untill it got dark but we did it in the end and i think it turned out very well.
Schedule
Due to the snow last week we were not able to film the park scenes on Saturday. We have decided to film the park scenes instead this Friday. We will be picking up the child we will be using from school and going straight too the park. This might take some time as this is the very important part of the opening sequence as this emphasises the film.

Day1 of editing
In today's lesson we started editing for the first time. At the moment we are editing the kitchen scenes which i think so far is going very well. I think the editing is going well as well. But what we realised while editing is that we may need to shoot some scenes again as we missed some or that some scenes do not link with the other. I think it is really good to start editing now as we are able to know what we have missed or need to improve.

Day1 of shooting
Today is our first day of shooting. We are shooting when it is dark. Today we will shoot the kitchen sequence, we had to complete rethink the schedule of our shooting. We originally had intended to do the playground sequence today, however, due to the child we wanted to use not being available we had to rethink. This will change the way we shoot as we wanted to have the playground sequence on the TV screen and have our actress react to this, however, not having this filmed yet means we will have to edit it in later.
We have done our actresses makeup to look depressed and tired.

Audience research
This is our Target audience research. Our target audience is aged 15-24. This helped us alot in what our audiences prefer watching and type of genre they like. There was an equal amount of people who said horror and something else. We made a conclusion from this and decided to make a horror film. Before this interview we told our audience about our story and got really good feed back from them. They said that they liked our idea about the flashbacks, they said that this is really effective. They also said that our idea is quite mysterious and that, it makes it more reason for them to come and watch our film.
Audience-Target
Our target audience is 15-24 year olds. Our film is a low budget horror/thriller film. We chose the genre horror/thriller because its a very popular genre and most people go to watch horror/thriller. We chose this age group as our target audience because the kind of opening sequence we are making, we think will suit that particular age group and they will be willing more to watch it. Some examples of low budget horror/thriller films:
Halloween (1978)
Friday the 13th (1980)
Halloween (1978)
Friday the 13th (1980)
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
We need to be able to get our audiences attention and be able to make our opening sequence as interesting and eye catching as possible so that the audience would like to watch it and try and appeal it to them as much as we can because thats what audiences want from us.
